GCET 2016The Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) Agency, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara is a Nodal Agency recognized by the UGC, New Delhi for conducting the Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) for Lectureship / Assistant Professor since 2002. GCET September 2016 Strictly adhering to the guidelines stipulated by the UGC-NET Bureau, Gujarat SET Agency , The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda is conducting State Eligibility Test to make rigorous merit based selection for the entry level of teaching profession. Currently GSET is conducting test in Twenty Three (23) subjects at Six (6) Examination Centers spread across the Gujarat State.

GSET Exam 2016 Notification

The Notification, model / previous question papers, syllabus, information regarding online submission of application, examination details, instruction to candidates, seating arrangements, key answers and results are all made available through our website: http://www.gujaratset.ac.in. Candidates who qualify the GSET will be governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Lecturers / Assistant Professors of the concerned University / Colleges / Institutions (Government / Aided / Private) in Gujarat State only. The Certificate issued for the GSET eligible candidate from this office will have lifetime validity.

Name of Exam  : Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) September 2016 Educational Qualification :
  • Only those candidates are eligible to appear in the GSET who have completed / are studying in the final year or semester of a UGC specified Master’ s degree.
  • Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (General) (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Sciences are eligible for this Test. The Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer / Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Physically Handicapped (PH)/ Visually Handicapped(VH) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.
GSET 2016 Exam Schedule – Time Table 2016 The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held in two separate sessions as under:

 How to Apply: Interested & Eligible candidates Apply Online Registration from Starting Dt.08/08/2016 to 03/09/2016. Note : CANDIDATES SHOULD NOTE THAT THE PRINT OUT OF ONLINE APPLICATION FORM, FEE CHALLAN OR ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS SHOULD NOT BE SENT TO GUJARAT SET OFFICE, VADODARA.In case a Candidate qualifies for the GSET Examination, It is mandatory for him I her to bring print out of Application Form, Fee Challan and Examination Hall Ticket along with Photo (Xerox) Copies of Eligibility and Category related documents, Mark sheets, Certificates etc. at the time of document verification at GSET Office, Vadodara.
