Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)  Published its Examination Notification for The National Eligibility Test (NET) will be conducted on January 2017. CBSE UGC NET 2016  by the in the month of July 2016. Many candidates had applied and appeared for the exam across various examination centers.  Those who had written UGC NET 2016 must be waiting for the results. Now, the UGC NET July Results 2016 are expected to be declared on October 14 or 15, 2016. The CBSE has not confirmed anything officially yet but candidates need to look out for their results this week. Candidates can check the results from the official website i.e.www.cbse.nic.in.

CBSE UGC NET Examination 2017

As Per CBSE Notification: On behalf of UGC, the Central Board of Secondary Education announces holding of the National Eligibility Test(NET) on 22.01.2017  (SUNDAY)for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian universities and colleges. CBSE will conduct NET  in  84  subjects  (listed  under  item  no.14  on  page  12)  at  90  selected  Cities  of Examination (listed under item no.15 on page 14) spread across the country.

UGC NET 2017 Online

The result of the UGC-NET to be held on 22.01.2017 will be made available on the websites: www.cbsenet.nic.in as and when it is declared. The candidate will not be individually intimated  about  their  result.  The  candidates  who  qualify  for  the  award  of  Junior  Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor. The universities, institutions, IITs and other national organizations may select the JRF awardees for whole time research work in accordance with the procedure prescribed by them EXEMPTION (ELIGIBILITY FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR)  :  for NET/SLET/SET  shall  remain  the  minimum  eligibility  condition  for  recruitment  and appointment  of  Assistant  Professors  in  Universities/Colleges/  Institutions.  Provided  however, that  candidates,  who  are  or  have  been  awarded  a  Ph.  D.  Degree  in  accordance  with  the University  Grants  Commission  (Minimum  Standards  and  Procedure  for  Award  of  the  Ph.  D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition  of  NET/SELT/SET  for  recruitment  and  appointment  of  Assistant  Professor  or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions. Age Limit :
  • For JRF : Not more than 28 years as on 01.01.2017
  • For Assistant Professor : There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.
UGC NET 2017 Exam Pattern : The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will  consist of only objective type questions and will be held on 22.01.2017 (SUNDAY)in three separate sessions as under:
  • First Session : Paper I (100 Marks 60 out of Which 50 Question to be attempted.
  • Second Session : Paper II (100 Marks 50 Questions all are compulsory)
  • Third Session : Paper III (150 Marks 75 Questions all are compulsory)
UGC NET 2017 Syllabus : Paper-I  shall  be  of  general  nature,  intended  to  assess  the  teaching/research  aptitude  of  the candidate.  It  will  primarily  be  designed  to  test  reasoning  ability,  comprehension,  divergent thinking  and  general  awareness  of  the  candidate.  60  (sixty)  multiple  choice  questions  of  2 marks  each  will  be  given,  out  of  which  the  candidate  would  be  required  to  answer  any  50 (fifty).  In  the  event  of  the  candidate  attempted  more  than  50  questions,  the  first  50  questions attempted by the candidate would be evaluated.  Paper-II shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks. Paper-III  will consist of 75 objective type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks. All  the  questions  of  Paper  –  II  and  Paper  –  III  will  be  compulsory,  covering  entire  syllabus (including all electives, without options). Application Fees :

HOW TO APPLY (APPLICATION HAVE TO BE SUBMITTED ONLINE): STEPS FOR SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATION FORM Candidate seeking admission to the Test (UGC-NET, Jan, 2017) must apply online only on the CBSE website: www.cbsenet.nic.in  GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS  :
  1. The candidates must read the conditions of eligibility as given at item no. 3 carefully and must  satisfy  themselves  regarding  their  eligibility  for  the  Test  before  filling  the online application Form.
  2. Submission of Online Application is mandatory. Hard copies of application form will not be accepted by CBSE.
  3. Application Form must be complete in all respects as per the Notification.
  4. All incomplete Application Forms will be rejected.
  5. Applications submitted on any other format (including old UGC format) will not be accepted.
  6. Printout of online application (Confirmation Page) should be kept by the candidate for further reference.
  7. No applications  can  be  submitted  after  the  last  date  (i.e.  16/11/2016)  and  no  fee will be accepted after 17th Nov, 2016 in any circumstances.
  8. The Candidate should note that their candidature is strictly provisional. The mere fact that Admission Card has been issued and the candidate is allowed to appear in the test shall not imply that the Board has finally accepted his/her candidature.
  9. CBSE may  change  the  city  of  examination  or  date  of  examination  without assigning any reason.
  10. It may  be  noted  that  the  Admission  Card  will  be  uploaded  on  the  website www.cbsenet.nic.in  in  the  third  week  of  December,    The  candidates  are requested to ascertain their venue of the test in the mentioned in the Admission Card and  appear  in  the  examination  only  at  the  designated  examination  center.  No candidate  will  be  allowed  to  appear  at  the  examination  center  other  than  that allotted to him/her in the admission card.
